Glaskote
Glaskote is a premium architectural glass finish created through a high-temperature powder coating process applied directly to monolithic glass. Unlike conventional paint or film applications, the powder coating is thermally fused to the glass surface, resulting in a highly durable, uniform, and visually refined finish.
Process Overview
The Glaskote process involves the following key steps:
Surface Preparation
The monolithic glass is thoroughly cleaned and treated to ensure optimal adhesion.Electrostatic Powder Application
A specialized spray gun applies finely ground powder paint evenly across the glass surface using electrostatic attraction. This ensures consistent coating thickness and coverage.High-Temperature Oven Firing
The coated glass is then oven-baked at high temperatures, causing the powder to melt, flow, and chemically bond with the glass surface. This firing process permanently fuses the coating to the glass.Cooling and Inspection
Once cooled, the glass exhibits a smooth, seamless finish with excellent color consistency and long-term performance.
