1974 - Humble Beginnings
Mr. Go Ching Ping founded A.T. Enterprises, which primarily supplied glass louvers for houses and offices. Initially, the company operated from a rented storefront on Solis Street. Although A.T. Enterprises’ operations were simple at first, Go Ching Ping’s patience, hard work, and great foresight eventually led the business to grow and expand over the years, introducing new products and services all over the island of Luzon.
1987 - Glass Processing
AT Enterprises became Chain Glass Enterprises Inc. Chain Glass Enterprises, Inc. (CGEI). CGEI also became a distributor of float glass and was able to establish a strong customer base in Luzon. Glass processing equipment including an auto clave, a pressing unit, and a cooling tower were acquired as CGEI geared up for laminated glass production.
1997 - new manila office
In 1997, Chain decided it was time to relocate its main office to Santa Cruz, Manila, to accommodate its growing operations and better serve its expanding customer base. The new location provided a more strategic and accessible hub for distribution, allowing the company to streamline logistics, improve customer service, and expand its product offerings.
1997 - Glass Tempering
Chain Glass made history as the first company in the country to introduce and invest in a European glass tempering line, positioning itself as a pioneer in the local glass industry.
2000 - Became distributor of Dow Corning and DORMA
Chain Glass became a one stop shop for its customers including a new portfolio of aluminum products. Chain Glass has also been appointed as the distributor of Dowsil (formerly Dow Corning) silicone sealants. In the same time period, Chain Glass was also appointed as distributor of DORMA door control products.
2008 - Opened Up Cebu Branch
Chain Glass Cebu Branch in Mandaue was opened during this year as a regional branch for the Vis-Min region. It serves as a key warehouse for customers down South. A tempering line was also installed beside the office to support the increasing demand of safety glass in the region.
2012 - ISO Management
Chain glass started implementing ISO Quality Management System in its business. Chain Glass also began getting its IGU line certified.
2014 - Automatic Doors
Chain Glass began its automatic door division that primarily installs and service all brands of
automatic doors.
2019 - Mechanical Door Hardware
Chain Glass has been appointed as an official distributor of ASSA ABLOY and Yale products to distribute mechanical and glass hardware all over the Philippines.
