Description
Heat Strengthened glass is manufactured by controlling the tensile stress caused by heat treatment process within a certain range of temperature. The level of breakage from the outside impact is similar to that of annealed flat glass but strength coefficient is twice higher.
Features
- The strength and resistance to temperature changes of heat-strengthened glass is two times stronger than that of the annealed glass.
- Heat strengthened glass has the same features of annealed glass like hardness, elongation, polarization, and resistance to etching.
- Heat-strengthened glass has less distortions than tempered glass. Strengthening method improves the smoothness of processed reflective glass.
- In comparison with the tempered glass, heat strengthened glass is not easily broken spontaneously.
