Company History

History

It all started in 1974 when Mr. Go Ching Ping founded the A.T. Enterprises which primarily supplied glass louvers for houses and offices.  Although A.T. Enterprises’ operation was simple, with Go Ching Ping’s patience, hardwork and great foresight, the business eventually grew and expanded over the years, introducing new products and services all over the island of Luzon.

In 1987, A.T. Enterprises became Chain Glass Enterprises, Inc. (CGEI). Glass processing equipment including an auto clave, a pressing unit, and a cooling tower were acquired as CGEI geared up for laminated glass production.

In 1991, Republic-Asahi Glass Philippines (now AGC Flat Glass Philippines, Inc.) appointed CGEI as one of its official distributors in the metropolis of Manila and other parts of Luzon, paving the way for a strong and growing presence in the glass distribution business throughout the country’s main island.

Today, CGEI evolved into a one-stop glass shop as it continues expansion programs that made them known in the Philippine glass and construction industry.  In addition to amplifying their product lines, they have also acquired several state-of-the-art machinery including their latest Glaston’s RC350™ and Bystronic IGU equipment.  Since the installation of its most recent tempering lines in Cebu and Davao and, with over 300 employees nationwide extending from Cauayan City in Isabela to Davao City in Davao del Sur to serve their customers, CGEI leads the Philippine glass industry in providing glass processing solutions and a one-stop avenue for its customer’s convenience.
